ROCHESTER, NY - The second-seeded College at Florham Devils got at least two goals from five different players to beat sixth-seeded Washington & Jefferson, 11-10, in the Semifinals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament on Saturday afternoon at St. John Fisher College.
With the win, the Devils improved to 13-6 and will go on to play top-seeded St. John Fisher in the tournament finals. The Presidents finished their season with a record of 13-4.
FDU got off to a good start as sophomore attack
Ashley Schlindwein scored the first two goals of the game but the Presidents came right back to score the next five goals to grab a 5-2 lead with 19:43 left in the first half. The Devils scored three of the next four goals to close their gap to 6-5 with 10:37 remaining but W&J made it 7-5 with 4:59 to go. With 0:50 left in the half, sophomore attack
Jennie Jones tallied for FDU to make the scored 7-6 heading into intermission.
The two squads traded the first four goals of the second half with the Presidents holding a 9-8 advantage with 16:55 left to play. That's when the Devils made their move though, scoring the next three goals to go ahead by a score of 11-9 with 6:43 remaining. Senior midfielder

Breana Kilpatrick scored the three goals for FDU during the run. W&J came right back though, scoring just 0:28 later to close to within 11-10 but the Devils were able stand tall on defense while running out the clock to preserve the win.
Schlindwein finished the game with three goals while Depelteau, Kilpatrick, Jones, and senior midfielder
Lindsey Parent each scored two goals apiece. Freshman goalkeeper
Ashley Smith picked up the win, making eight saves.
The Devils return to action on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at top-seeded St. John Fisher in the Finals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament beginning at 1 pm.
