Devils Fall To Vassar, 2-0, In Season Opener

MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Vassar, 2-0, in the 2010 season opener for both teams on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 0-1.
The Brewers started the scoring 13:15 into the game and then the two teams played even for the next 45:00 before Vassar added in insurance goal with 31:57 left in the contest. The Devils actaully held an edge in shots (14-12) and corner kicks (4-3) but could not get on the board.
Senior goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made eight saves in net.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at home against Arcadia beginning at 11 am.
