MADISON, NJ - Sophomore attack Breana Kilpatrick (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) scored seven goals to lead the top-seeded College at Florham Devils past fourth-seeded Alvernia, 19-15, in the Semifinals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament on Saturday afternoon.  In the other Semifinal, second-seeded Washington & Jefferson hung on to beat third-seeded Ramapo by a score of 13-11.

With the win, the Devils improved to 15-6 while the Crusaders finished their season with a record of 12-6.

Alvernia jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 0:47 into the contest but FDU scored five of the next six goals to take a 5-2 lead with 20:40 left in the first half.  Kilpatrick and senior attack Kristen Schuster (Centereach, NY/Centereach) each had a pair of goals in the run.  Alvernia then scored back-to-back goals to cut it to 5-4 before FDU notched  four of the next five to grab a 9-5 advantage with 8:20 remaining.  The Crusaders then tallied three of the next four scores to pull to within 10-8 but Kilpatrick scored with 0:01 left in the half to give FDU an 11-8 edge heading into the intermission.

The Devils came out hot to begin the second stanza, ripping off six of the first seven goals to take a 17-9 lead with 21:38 left in the game.  Alvernia didn't quit though, as they recorded the next four goals to close to 17-13 with 12:20 to play.  FDU then won the draw and junior defender Stefanie Sanzari (Fairfield, NJ/West Essex) raced down field to score with 12:04 to go.  The Crusaders made it 18-14 under a minute later but Kilpatrick scored with 9:02 left to give the Devils a 19-14 cushion.  Alvernia again scored just a minute later to pull to 19-15 but FDU's defense tightened up and the offense was able to run out the clock allowing the Devils to advance to the Finals.

Junior midfielder Erika Depelteau (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro North) finished with four goals while junior midfielder Lindsey Parent (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) added two goals and two assists.

The Devils return to action on Sunday, May 16, 2010, at home against Washington & Jefferson in the Finals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament beginning at 11 am.
