Brazier, Droge Honored By Freedom Conference

ANNVILLE, PA - Junior middle hitter Lauren Brazier (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) was named First Team All-Freedom Conference while senior right side Meghan Droge (North Merrick, NY/Kellenberg) was named Second Team All-Freedom Conference on Thursday afternoon.
Brazier, a three-time First Team All-Conference performer, led the Devils with 300 kills and 153 blocks while ranking second in the conference in hitting percentage (.371), sixth in kills (300) and first in blocks (153). Nationally, as of November 1, 2009, Brazier is third in blocks per set (1.4) and 19th in hitting percentage (.367). She has also been steadily climbing up the FDU record books as she ranks fifth all-time in career kills (892), second in single-season blocks (153), third in single-season blocks (147) and second in career blocks (410).
Droge, a two-time Second Team All-Conference member, was fourth on the squad with 198 kills while serving as one of the team's three captains.
